Let's Talk
Here's what our clients have to say.
With the help of Bimeco, we've managed to work with them to cover up gaps in our documentation by scanning some as-built structures to BIM. It has really saved us when manpower is tight during a labor crunch
Catherine Li,
BIM Manager @ TerraFirma
The types of HVAC systems that are manufactured by our firm were really complex and needed to be modelled into our GC's federated BIM environment. With Bimeco I was able to get the support needed.
Peter Tsai
Project Manager @ ClimatePro HVAC
How It Works
Here's our approach to Scan to BIM models
Share Point Cloud
Share .e57 point cloud files with us. It helps to split large files into smaller chunks for easier transfer.
BIM Model Development
Our BIM Managers reference the point cloud data to develop the BIM models.
3D Model Review
We host the finalized BIM models on our browser-based model viewer for additional refinements.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the LOD of the BIM Model?
The model will conform to LOD 300 standards, providing a reliable representation of the physical geometry of visible architectural and structural components for coordination and documentation purposes.
- Should I split my point cloud files?
Due to the large size of point clouds, we recommend splitting them by floor, wing, or zone. This improves performance and allows our BIM teams to efficiently build and assemble the federated model.
- Do you provide native files or IFC?
We deliver BIM models in both native formats (e.g. Revit, Archicad, Tekla) and open IFC format, depending on your project requirements.
- Can you model non-visible elements?
If you’re able to provide CAD files, we can model them accordingly. However, this will be treated as a separate scope of work.
- How much does it cost to scan to BIM, and what is the turnaround time?
We use a simplified pricing model for Scan to BIM projects, based on a per square meter rate. Rates may differ based on the total floor area - please contact us for a detailed quote tailored to your project.
- Do you model according to our companies’ guidelines
If you have CAD templates or a BIM Execution Plan, our BIM Coordinators will align with your standards to ensure consistency across all deliverables.
